Omnichannel home and kitchen startup Chapter Homes has raised Rs 63 crore ($6.6 million) in a strategic funding round, valuing the company at nearly Rs 1,000 crore, according to the company’s announcement.

The round combines debt and equity, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Stride Ventures, comedian and investor Tanmay Bhat, and several family offices. The startup said it has also received additional commitments from undisclosed backers for a future fundraise.

Founded in 2025 by former PharmEasy executives Nitin Chugh, Akarsh Bharadwaj, Shrey Mittal, Dhiraj Jain and Dheeraj Goyal, Chapter Homes is building a portfolio of consumer brands for India’s home and kitchen market.

Chapter Homes Plans Offline Expansion

The company plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen product development, enter new categories, invest in technology and brand building, and expand its distribution network. It also intends to establish its initial offline retail presence, extending its reach beyond online sales.

Chapter Homes has already launched HOKIPO, its home furnishings brand. Its next areas of expansion include cookware, home décor and small kitchen appliances.

Cofounder Nitin Chugh said the company aims to build focused brands for different home and kitchen categories, responding to consumer demand for better design, reliable quality and improved shopping experiences across online and physical stores.

AI to Support Product and Business Operations

Chapter Homes plans to use artificial intelligence across several parts of its business, including product cataloguing, demand forecasting, assortment planning and customer retention.

These tools could help the company respond to changing demand, manage inventory and launch products more efficiently. The company also plans to share capabilities across its brands in areas such as sourcing, supply chain, content, technology and distribution.

Building Multiple Brands in a Competitive Market

Chapter Homes’ strategy is to build a portfolio of specialised brands rather than rely on a single home and furnishings business. Shared infrastructure could help it enter adjacent categories without building every operation from scratch.

However, expanding into physical retail and multiple product categories will also bring costs related to inventory, distribution, marketing and customer acquisition. The company’s ability to maintain consistent product quality while managing these expenses will be important as it grows.

The Rs 63 crore fundraise gives Chapter Homes additional capital to develop its brands and build an omnichannel presence. Its next milestone will be turning that investment into sustained consumer demand across both digital and offline channels.
