- Jio Platforms IPO: Key Details
The proposed IPO comprises a fresh issue of 27 crore equity shares and is expected to raise approximately Rs 30,213 crore at the upper end of the price band of Rs 1,119 per share. The offering is entirely a fresh issue, meaning the proceeds will go to the company rather than existing shareholders selling their stakes. A significant portion is earmarked for repayment of borrowings at Reliance Jio Infocomm.
The issue is expected to value Jio Platforms at around Rs 10.3 lakh crore, or approximately $108 billion, at the upper price band. - What Investors Will Be Watching
Jio Platforms has expanded beyond mobile connectivity into broadband, enterprise services, cloud offerings, digital entertainment and other technology led businesses. Its large subscriber base gives it reach, but investors will also assess how effectively the company converts that scale into earnings growth and monetises services beyond telecom.
Strong institutional interest could support demand for the offering, but it does not guarantee listing gains. The final subscription figures, valuation investors are willing to pay and the company’s ability to grow higher margin digital businesses will matter more over the longer term.
