Global B2B travel platform TravClan has raised $5 million from Flipkart, August One and Trifecta Capital, combining equity investment with debt financing to expand its international travel network, strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and improve destination-level operations.

The Delhi-based startup plans to invest in direct supplier relationships, booking technology and ground operations across key international markets. The funding will support its ambition to become the technology and fulfilment infrastructure that travel businesses can use to sell and manage complex trips without building their own systems.

Arun Bagaria-Led TravClan Targets Global Travel Businesses

Founded by Arun Bagaria, Chirag Agarwal and Ashish Thapliyal, TravClan helps travel agents and businesses customise and book holiday packages, hotels and activities through a technology platform connected to suppliers.

The company says its network includes more than 15,000 travel agents. It also contracts directly with hotels and activity providers and operates ground teams across India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East to support bookings and customer service.

TravClan’s model goes beyond providing a booking interface. By combining supplier access, technology and destination support, it aims to help travel businesses manage the full journey, from finding suitable products to fulfilling bookings.

Funding to Strengthen AI and International Operations

Co-founder and CEO Arun Bagaria said the company initially focused on solving operational challenges for independent travel agents. That led it to build direct supplier relationships, technology and on-ground operations alongside its booking platform.

The company now plans to use AI to automate more work for travel businesses, while improving booking capabilities and expanding its supplier network. It also intends to strengthen destination operations and build infrastructure that can support larger travel platforms.

Flipkart’s investment is strategically relevant because the e-commerce group announced a minority stake in TravClan earlier in October to strengthen international holiday offerings through Cleartrip and Flipkart Travel. The companies said the partnership would help widen holiday options and improve destination support for customers.

Building Infrastructure for the Next Wave of Travel

TravClan is positioning itself as a business-to-business technology layer rather than a consumer-facing travel booking platform alone. Its approach could help smaller travel businesses access supplier networks and operational capabilities that would otherwise be costly to build independently.

The opportunity comes with execution challenges. International travel involves changing availability, supplier coordination, customer support and disruption management across different markets. TravClan will need to maintain service quality while expanding its network and automating more workflows.

The latest $5 million raise adds to the company’s earlier funding from investors including Leo Capital, The Ventures and Hashed. TravClan says it has raised more than $11 million to date, including the latest round.

Its next phase will test whether technology, direct supply and destination operations can scale together to make international travel more accessible while keeping service reliable.
