Vectorial, an AI startup developing tools to simulate human behaviour for product development and market research, has raised $3 million in a seed funding round led by SenseAI Ventures. The round also saw participation from Smilegate, Berkeley SkyDeck, Berkeley AI Research Lab, Dent Capital, Motus Ventures, SUM Ventures and angel investors with product experience at Meta, Shopify and Mastercard.
Founded by Taranveer Singh, Rahul Garg and Jasmine Kaur, Vectorial aims to help companies test product ideas, digital experiences and marketing campaigns using AI-generated models of target audiences before launching them to real users.
The startup says its platform has modelled more than 2.5 million people globally, including 500,000 in India, and conducted over 30,000 simulations. It plans to use AI to make user research faster and more accessible to product, design and marketing teams.
How Vectorial’s AI Simulation Platform Works
Traditional user research often relies on surveys, interviews, focus groups and live product testing. While these methods provide direct feedback, they can take time and resources to conduct at scale.
Vectorial’s platform is designed to complement these methods by simulating how target customers might respond to a product journey, advertising campaign or AI agent. Its SAPIENS model uses socio-demographic, psychographic and behavioural characteristics to create audience models that can be tested across web, mobile and AI-based applications.
The company claims SAPIENS is 30% more accurate at predicting human behaviour than general-purpose large language models (LLMs). It also says its simulations reproduce findings from previous user studies with more than 85% accuracy. These are company-reported performance claims and should be assessed against independent validation and the specific tasks used for comparison.
Vectorial’s Founders and Customer Base
The founding team brings together product and AI experience. Taranveer Singh is the co-founder and CEO, Rahul Garg is the co-founder and Chief Product Officer, and Jasmine Kaur is the co-founder and Chief Business Officer.
Vectorial says its customers include boAt, GoodRx, Suki AI, Everkind and Concrete Software, spanning e-commerce, healthcare, gaming and other digital businesses. The company says customers run around 600 simulations a month, equivalent to roughly 40 user studies, and conduct up to 20 times more research than before. These figures are based on company-reported usage and comparisons.
The seed funding will support new data partnerships and development of SAPIENS 2.0, as Vectorial seeks to expand its behavioural datasets and improve its simulation technology.
Why AI-Based User Research Matters
For startups, testing every product feature with live users can be costly and slow. AI simulations could give teams a quicker way to compare designs, messaging and product journeys before investing in a full launch.
But simulated behaviour is not the same as feedback from real customers. Accuracy can vary across audiences, markets and decisions, so businesses will still need real-user testing to validate important findings. For Indian companies, the opportunity will depend on how well these models reflect local languages, purchasing habits and regional differences.
Vectorial is betting that AI-powered simulations can become a regular part of product development. Its next challenge is to demonstrate that the technology delivers reliable results across different customer groups, not just faster research.
