Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses' initial public offering (IPO) was subscribed 3.06 times by the close of bidding on October 19, 2026, with investors applying for 56.54 crore shares against 18.50 crore shares on offer.

The Bengaluru-based manufacturing platform attracted its strongest demand from qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), whose portion was subscribed 4.73 times. Non-institutional investors subscribed 1.40 times, while the employee quota received 1.58 times subscription. Retail investors showed comparatively weaker interest, with their portion subscribed 0.72 times.

The subscription figures point to stronger institutional demand than retail participation. However, the final subscription level alone does not indicate how the stock will perform after listing.

Zetwerk IPO Details: Price Band, Issue Size and Use of Funds

Zetwerk's IPO was open from October 15 to October 19, with a price band of Rs 143-Rs 151 per share. The minimum application size was 99 shares, requiring Rs 14,157 at the lower end of the price band.

The issue comprises a fresh share sale of Rs 2,830 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 14.45 crore shares, valued at approximately Rs 2,182 crore at the offer price.

The fresh issue proceeds are intended primarily for debt repayment, alongside acquisitions, strategic investments and general corporate purposes. The OFS portion provides an exit opportunity for existing shareholders, with the proceeds going to the selling shareholders rather than the company.

Early Investors Set for Significant Returns

Zetwerk's public offering also marks a major liquidity event for its early backers. Kae Capital and Kalysta Capital could earn gross returns of approximately 38.3 times their acquisition cost on the shares they are selling, based on the upper end of the IPO price band.

Other investors selling shares include Lightspeed Venture Partners, which is offering shares worth approximately Rs 426.9 crore, and Peak XV Partners, which is offering shares worth around Rs 353.5 crore.

These are estimated returns on the shares being sold, not the investors' returns on their entire holdings. The calculations are based on the assumed offer price of Rs 151 and exclude taxes and transaction costs.

Ahead of the public issue, Zetwerk raised Rs 2,251.23 crore from anchor investors, including global institutions such as BlackRock, Goldman Sachs and Nomura, alongside domestic mutual funds.

Revenue Growth Improves, but Profitability Remains a Key Test

Zetwerk reported revenue from continuing operations of Rs 15,913 crore in FY26, up 40.4% from Rs 11,332 crore in FY25, according to the figures provided in its IPO financial disclosures.

In the first quarter of FY27, revenue from operations increased 55% year on year to Rs 4,118 crore. Losses from continuing operations narrowed to Rs 64 crore from Rs 881 crore in the corresponding period a year earlier.

The figures point to strong revenue growth and a substantial reduction in quarterly losses. However, investors will also need to assess debt levels, cash flow and the company's ability to turn higher business volumes into sustainable profits.

Zetwerk was co-founded by Amrit Pratik Acharya and Srinath Ramakkrushnan. The company operates a technology led manufacturing platform serving sectors such as energy, electronics, industrial products and precision engineering. Its IPO will test public-market appetite for a manufacturing business that has grown rapidly but is still working towards consistent profitability.
