Indian startups raised $162 million across 16 deals in the third week of October, down from $180 million in the previous week. The decline was driven by a lower number of transactions and the absence of large-value funding rounds across most sectors.
Blacksmith and Even Healthcare were the week’s biggest fundraisers, securing $66 million and $50 million, respectively. Other notable investments went to consumer brands, healthcare platforms, traveltech and AI startups, including The Pant Project, CureBay, Chapter Home, TravClan and Hunar AI.
Despite continued investor interest across healthcare, consumer businesses and artificial intelligence, the limited number of large-ticket deals remains a concern for India’s startup ecosystem. However, a potential recovery in funding activity could emerge in 2027.
