E-commerce software company Unicommerce eSolutions reported an 11% year on year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 6.4 Cr in Q2 FY27, while revenue from operations rose 15% to Rs 59.1 Cr. The results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, show continued revenue growth, although expenses increased faster than sales.
The Gurugram-based company’s revenue from operations increased from Rs 51.38 crore in Q2 FY26 to Rs 59.1 crore in Q2 FY27. Net profit rose from Rs 5.78 crore to Rs 6.4 Cr over the same period, according to the figures provided in its unaudited consolidated financial results.
Unicommerce Q2 FY27: Key Financial Highlights
-
Revenue from operations: Rs 59.1 cr, up 15% year on year.
-
Net profit: Rs 6.4 cr, compared with Rs 5.78 Cr a year earlier.
-
Total income: Rs 60.7 Cr, including Rs 1.56 Cr in other income.
-
Total expenses: Rs 52.83 Cr, up around 19% year on year.
-
Profit before tax: Approximately Rs 7.8 Cr, broadly flat year on year.
For the first half of FY27, revenue from operations rose 14.7% to Rs 110.45 crore from Rs 96.32 crore in the corresponding period last year. Net profit for the first half stood at Rs 11.07 crore, compared with Rs 9.67 crore in the same period last year, based on the figures supplied.
Expenses Rise Faster Than Revenue
Unicommerce’s total expenses climbed 18.9% to Rs 52.83 crore from Rs 44.45 crore a year earlier. Employee benefit expenses rose 23.4% to Rs 20.9 crore, while server hosting costs increased 41.5% to Rs 1.91 crore. Other expenses reached Rs 27.67 crore, up 15.5%, while finance costs declined 5% to Rs 19 lakh.
Profit before tax remained around Rs 7.8 crore, indicating that higher operating costs absorbed much of the additional revenue. Net profit growth was also helped by lower tax expense, including a deferred tax credit reported in the supplied figures. This distinction matters: the increase in net profit does not appear to have come solely from stronger operating performance.
Kapil Makhija Leads Unicommerce’s E-Commerce SaaS Business
Unicommerce provides software for e-commerce operations, including order and inventory management, warehouse management, order fulfilment and omnichannel retail. Its tools help brands, marketplaces and logistics partners coordinate orders and fulfilment across sales channels. The company is led by Managing Director and CEO Kapil Makhija, with CFO Anurag Mittal also listed among management participants for the Q2 FY27 earnings call.
For e-commerce businesses, such software can help manage the operational complexity that comes with rising order volumes, multiple marketplaces and different fulfilment channels. Unicommerce’s continued revenue growth suggests demand for these services, while the faster increase in expenses makes cost control an important metric to watch.
What to Watch Next
Investors will be looking for further detail on operating margins, customer growth, revenue contribution across products, and the cost of scaling the platform. Unicommerce has scheduled an earnings call for October 26, 2026, to discuss its Q2 and first half FY27 results.
The key question is whether the company can sustain double digit revenue growth while bringing expense growth closer to, or below, its revenue growth rate.
