Healthcare AI startup Confido Health has secured $12.5 million in a funding round led by Z47, with participation from existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures. The company plans to use the capital to expand its AI platform, which automates work for healthcare providers, including patient calls, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, prescription refills and payment follow-ups.

The funding follows a $10 million Series A round announced in September 2026 and a $3 million seed round led by Together Fund in December 2024. The latest announcement brings the reported funding across these rounds to $25.5 million, assuming the September and October transactions are separate investments.

Founded in 2022 by Chetan Reddy and Vichar Shroff, Confido Health is building AI agents designed to handle repetitive administrative tasks that can slow down healthcare operations and divert staff attention from patient care.

Confido Health's platform connects with existing healthcare technology, including electronic health records, practice management software, billing systems, telephone systems and fax infrastructure.

The company says it integrates with more than 50 systems and can be deployed without requiring providers to replace their existing technology stack. It also claims that its no-code deployment process can take less than five minutes.

Rather than simply answering patient queries, the AI agents are designed to initiate and coordinate multiple workflows. Information collected during patient intake, such as referral details and insurance requirements, can be used to support subsequent tasks, including scheduling, prescription refill requests and payments.

This approach targets a practical problem for healthcare providers: administrative processes often span several disconnected systems, creating delays and increasing the workload for staff.

  • Confido Health Expands Across 1,500 Healthcare Sites

The company says its platform now serves around 3,200 healthcare providers across more than 1,500 care sites in 27 US states. It has integrations with more than 50 healthcare systems and is targeting multi-location medical groups, including practices backed by private equity investors.

Confido's next phase will focus on expanding CareOS across larger healthcare organisations and developing additional AI agents for different clinical specialties and administrative workflows.

The commercial opportunity lies in automating work that still requires staff to switch between systems and follow up manually. If the platform can reliably manage these processes, providers may be able to increase operational capacity without adding staff at the same pace. However, the company's performance claims are self-reported, and independent evidence of cost savings and patient outcomes has not been disclosed.

For investors, the round reflects interest in AI that does more than answer questions: it can use information from existing software to carry out defined operational tasks. In healthcare, that promise will depend on reliable execution, privacy safeguards and appropriate human oversight.
