AI-powered financial platform Credfix has raised Rs 16.1 Cr in a seed funding round led by Tanglin Venture Partners, with participation from Stargazer.

The fresh capital will help Credfix improve its products, strengthen its AI technology and expand its borrower support network across India.

Before this round, Credfix had raised Rs 4.5 crore from K2 Capital, Invstt Trust and a group of angel investors.

Founded by Ranjan Agarwal and Neeraj Kulkarni

Credfix was founded by Ranjan Agarwal and Neeraj Kulkarni to help people dealing with financial stress and loan repayment challenges.

The platform currently serves more than 2 lakh borrowers, with these users representing over Rs 4,000 crore in total outstanding debt.

The company aims to make the debt resolution process simpler by bringing financial guidance, lender communication and legal support together on one platform.

AI Tools to Help Borrowers

Credfix has built three key AI-led solutions, Risi, Neytra and an AI legal assistant.

Risi works as an AI financial assistant that helps borrowers understand their loans, assess their financial situation and explore possible resolution options.

Neytra, the AI call shield, helps borrowers deal with recovery-related calls and provides support during interactions with lenders and recovery agencies.

The AI legal assistant helps users understand legal notices, prepare draft responses for their review and identify possible next steps.

Making Debt Resolution Less Stressful

Managing debt can often involve several disconnected conversations with lenders, recovery agencies and legal teams. Credfix wants to bring these different parts of the process together through AI.

The platform is designed to support borrowers from the early signs of financial difficulty through structured debt resolution and, eventually, financial recovery.

Users can assess their financial obligations, understand available options, communicate with lenders and get help in understanding legal notices.

Tanglin Venture Partners Backs Credfix

Tanglin Venture Partners believes there is a major gap in India’s credit ecosystem when borrowers struggle with repayments.

While India has built strong systems for distributing loans, support for borrowers facing financial stress remains limited. Credfix is betting that better guidance can help borrowers make informed decisions and improve repayment outcomes.

The latest funding will help the startup scale its technology and reach more borrowers across the country.

Building a Nationwide Borrower Support Network

Credfix aims to support millions of borrowers as it expands its platform.

The company is using AI to make financial recovery more transparent, personalised and easier to understand. Its larger goal is to create a single platform where borrowers can get practical support instead of managing multiple disconnected financial and legal processes.
