Bengaluru-based agentic AI startup RevRag.AI has secured $2.5 Mn in a seed funding round led by Accion Ventures, with participation from Cedar Hill Ventures, Wyser and Venture Catalysts. The startup plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate product development, strengthen its AI capabilities and expand into the US market.

Founded by Ashutosh Singh, Neeraj Gupta and Pankaj Gupta, RevRag.AI develops AI agents that help banks, insurers and fintech companies automate customer onboarding, product sales and support. Its platform is designed to function as a virtual relationship manager within financial services applications.

  • RevRag.AI Targets US Financial Services Market

The startup's international expansion plans come as it looks to address customer acquisition and servicing challenges across the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector.

Co-founder and CEO Ashutosh Singh said the US offers a large addressable market across insurance, credit cards and lending, with relatively limited competition in the category the company is targeting.

RevRag.AI also plans to invest in fine-tuning its own multimodal small language models (SLMs). Its platform currently relies on third-party proprietary AI models, making the development of in-house capabilities a potential avenue for greater control over its technology stack.

  • From Fintech Platform to Agentic AI SaaS

Launched in 2023, RevRag initially operated as a savings-focused fintech platform before pivoting to enterprise software in early 2025.

The founders identified a gap in digital financial services: although financial apps have streamlined transactions, customers still encounter lengthy onboarding processes, repeated data entry, documentation requirements and multiple verification steps.

RevRag's AI agents aim to guide users through these journeys, provide multilingual assistance, support customer queries and facilitate product sales. The approach is intended to help financial institutions reduce customer drop-offs while lowering dependence on traditional servicing channels.

Singh has claimed that the platform can reduce costs by up to 70% compared with traditional channels. This figure is a company-reported claim and has not been independently verified.

  • 45+ Customers and a $50 Mn ARR Ambition

RevRag.AI serves more than 45 customers in India, including PhonePe, Razorpay, Bajaj Finance, Motilal Oswal and IIFL.

The startup has also set an ambitious target of reaching $50 Mn in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by FY28. Its planned product developments include AI-led cross selling, real time risk scoring and automated claims handling.

The latest funding round follows an earlier investment round backed by Powerhouse Ventures and angel investors, including Kunal Shah, founder of CRED.

For India's fintech ecosystem, RevRag's strategy highlights an emerging opportunity beyond automating back office tasks: using AI agents to improve customer conversion and engagement directly within financial applications.

However, expansion into the US will require the startup to demonstrate that its technology can deliver measurable commercial outcomes while meeting financial institutions' requirements for security, reliability and regulatory compliance.

The new capital gives RevRag additional resources to pursue that opportunity. Its next challenge will be converting its customer traction and AI capabilities into repeatable growth across markets.
