MakeO, the parent company of clear aligner brand Toothsi, has raised Rs 90 Cr (around $9.4 million) in a funding round led by Singularity AMC. DSP family office, Genesis and Unispace Ventures also participated in the round.
The Mumbai-based startup will use the fresh funds to expand its offline presence across India and Southeast Asia, strengthen manufacturing, improve customer experience and invest in clinical centres and technology. MakeO is also exploring acquisitions of dental and clear aligner businesses to support its expansion.
Founded in 2018 by Arpi Mehta, Pravin Shetty, Manjul Jain and Anirudh Kal, MakeO initially started with teeth aligners under the Toothsi brand. In 2022, it brought Toothsi and skincare brand Skinnsi under the MakeO umbrella, expanding into dental, skin and hair treatments.

The latest funding follows MakeO’s expansion through acquisitions. In February, the company announced an agreement to acquire Singapore-based Zenyum, strengthening its presence across Southeast Asia. In 2025, it acquired Apple Dental for Rs 10.9 crore in a cash-and-stock deal. Apple Dental operates 20 clinics across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Following the Zenyum acquisition, the combined group has more than 60 offline clinical centres. MakeO had already raised over $100 million from investors including Eight Roads Ventures, 360 ONE Asset and Paramark Ventures before this latest round.
The company also raised Rs 100 Cr in June last year and secured $16 million in January 2024 in a round led by 360 ONE Asset and the investment office of Ashish Kacholia.
MakeO aims to double its revenue over the next two to three years. Its expansion plans come as demand for clear aligners and modern dental treatments continues to grow. According to Market Research Future, India's clear aligner market could grow from $466.99 million in 2025 to $2.83 billion by 2035.
With fresh capital, acquisitions and a growing clinic network, MakeO is looking to make dental and personal care services more accessible while strengthening its position in India and Southeast Asia.
