Bengaluru-based Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses has raised Rs 2,251.23 crore from anchor investors ahead of its Rs 5,012 Cr initial public offering (IPO), which opens for public subscription on October 15.
The company allotted 14.91 crore equity shares to 99 anchor investors at ₹151 per share, the upper end of its IPO price band, according to a report by Business Standard. The anchor allocation includes global institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds and domestic financial institutions.
Investors participating in the anchor book include BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, Capital Group, Norway's Government Pension Fund Global and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, among others.
The fundraising precedes one of the larger manufacturing-sector listings in India's primary market this year, giving public-market investors an opportunity to assess a business built around technology-enabled industrial production and supply-chain management.
- Zetwerk IPO: Issue Size, Price Band and Dates
The Rs 5,012.33 crore IPO comprises a fresh issue of Rs 2,830 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of approximately Rs 2,182.33 crore by existing shareholders.
The price band is Rs 143-Rs 151 per share. The offer opens on October 15 and closes on October 19, 2026, with listing tentatively scheduled for October 23 on the BSE and NSE.
The fresh issue will bring capital into the company, while the OFS will allow existing shareholders, including early investors, to sell part of their holdings. The two components serve different purposes and should not be treated as equivalent sources of business funding.
- Rs 2,160 Cr Earmarked for Debt Repayment
Zetwerk plans to use Rs 2,160 crore from the fresh issue to repay or prepay borrowings of the company and certain subsidiaries. The remaining proceeds will support potential acquisitions and general corporate purposes.
The company's red herring prospectus (RHP) puts consolidated outstanding borrowings at Rs 5,208 crore as of August 2026. The planned repayment therefore represents a substantial portion of its reported borrowings, although the final impact will depend on the amount actually deployed and any subsequent changes in debt.
For investors, debt reduction is a central part of the IPO story. The capital raised could ease financing obligations, but the company's ability to generate sustainable profits and cash flows will remain important to its longer-term performance.
- Building a Global Manufacturing Network
Founded by Amrit Pratik Acharya and Srinath Ramakkrushnan in 2017, Zetwerk connects businesses with manufacturing capacity across industrial and consumer goods markets. Its network serves sectors including renewable energy, electronics, aerospace, defence and industrial automation.
Backed by investors including Peak XV Partners, Accel India and Lightspeed Venture Partners, the company has expanded beyond a conventional manufacturing marketplace by combining third-party supplier capacity with its own manufacturing facilities and technology platform.
That model gives customers access to a wider production network, while Zetwerk must manage supplier reliability, quality standards, working capital and execution across complex manufacturing projects.
The IPO will put this business model under greater public-market scrutiny. Alongside its growth prospects, investors will be watching how effectively Zetwerk converts its manufacturing scale into profits and reduces its reliance on debt.
