Beauty and fashion e-commerce company Nykaa reported a 206.8% YoY increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 101.2 Cr in Q2 FY27, as revenue growth and improved performance across its beauty and fashion businesses strengthened its September quarter results.

The Falguni Nayar-led company’s revenue from operations rose 28.1% to Rs 3,006 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, compared with ₹2,346 crore in Q2 FY26, according to its regulatory filing.

Nykaa’s profit after tax increased from ₹33 crore in the year-ago quarter. On a sequential basis, profit rose 26.9% from ₹79.8 crore in Q1 FY27, while revenue grew 8.1% from ₹2,782 crore.

Including other income of ₹9.5 crore, the company’s total income stood at ₹3,015.6 crore. Profit before tax increased to ₹148.5 crore from ₹55.4 crore a year earlier.

The improvement came as total expenses grew 24.8% to ₹2,867.1 crore, slower than the increase in operating revenue.

Beauty Business Remains Nykaa’s Biggest Growth Driver

Nykaa’s beauty segment continued to account for the bulk of its business, generating revenue of ₹2,699.7 crore, up 26.6% YoY. The segment’s profit before exceptional items increased to ₹180.2 crore from ₹105.4 crore in Q2 FY26.

The fashion business recorded faster revenue growth, with revenue rising 42.9% to ₹287.2 crore. More importantly, its loss before exceptional items narrowed to ₹7.7 crore from ₹21.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The fashion segment’s improving performance suggests that the business is moving towards better operating economics even as it remains much smaller than Nykaa’s core beauty vertical.

The company also reported revenue of ₹19.1 crore from its other businesses.

Nykaa To Acquire 82% Stake In Simply Nam Beauty

Alongside its quarterly results, Nykaa’s board approved the acquisition of an 82% stake in Simply Nam Beauty Private Limited for a consideration of up to ₹33 crore.

Simply Nam is a makeup brand associated with celebrity makeup artist Namrata Soni. The transaction adds another owned-brand asset to Nykaa’s beauty portfolio and expands its exposure to the premium makeup segment.

The acquisition is part of Nykaa’s broader strategy of building a portfolio of beauty brands alongside its marketplace and retail operations.

Falguni Nayar’s Nykaa Reports Strong First-Half Growth

Founded by Falguni Nayar in 2012, Nykaa operates across beauty, personal care and fashion through its online platforms and physical retail network. Its parent company, FSN E-Commerce Ventures, listed on Indian stock exchanges in 2021.

For the first half of FY27, revenue from operations increased 28.6% to ₹5,788 crore from ₹4,501 crore in H1 FY26. Net profit rose 214.8% to approximately ₹181 crore from ₹57.5 crore.

The latest results underline the contribution of Nykaa’s beauty business to its overall growth, while the narrowing fashion loss and the Simply Nam acquisition highlight its efforts to improve the economics and breadth of its portfolio.

For investors, the key indicators to track will be whether fashion can move towards sustained profitability and whether Nykaa can continue growing its beauty business while maintaining margins.
