Vishrant Dave and Co-Founders Are Building Robots for Hazardous Industrial Spaces
Founded in 2024 by Vishrant Dave, Prateesh Awasthi and Ayush Ranjan, Armatrix develops snake-like robotic manipulators designed to operate in confined and hazardous industrial environments.
Its robotic systems are being developed for inspection, maintenance and intervention tasks across industries such as shipbuilding, nuclear energy, oil and gas, and aviation. These operations often involve difficult-to-access spaces where sending human workers can increase safety risks and operational costs.
The company's approach combines flexible robotic hardware with AI-driven control and navigation. Its technology is intended to help industrial operators carry out complex maintenance work while reducing the need for personnel to enter dangerous spaces.
Armatrix's official website identifies Bengaluru as its headquarters and confirms its focus on confined-space robotics for heavy industries.
From Pre-Seed to a Higher Valuation Seed Round
Armatrix previously raised $2.1 million in a pre-seed round led by pi Ventures, with participation from Inuka Capital, Boundless Ventures, Boost VC, Turbostart and gradCapital.
The new funding marks a significant step-up in the company's fundraising journey. However, the valuation increase comes while the business is still at an early commercialisation stage.
Armatrix remained pre-revenue in FY26 and reported a net loss of Rs 3.05 Cr, according to the financial details cited in the funding report. The fresh capital is intended for business expansion and general corporate purposes.
For investors, the opportunity lies in whether Armatrix can translate its engineering capabilities into repeatable industrial deployments. In deeptech robotics, moving from prototypes and pilot projects to reliable systems that customers are willing to deploy at scale is a critical commercial milestone.
The next phase will therefore be important not just for product development, but also for demonstrating customer adoption and a viable business model.
