Pune-based healthtech startup Clinics On Cloud has raised ₹120 crore (approximately $12.5 million) in its Series A funding round at a valuation of ₹600 crore (around $63 million). The investment was made by Model42, a healthcare-focused investment platform backed by UAE-based Enlightened Minds Investments, as the company looks to take its AI-powered Health ATMs and microclinic infrastructure to international markets.
Founded in 2018 by Abhay Agarwal and Manashrri Agarwal, Clinics On Cloud has grown without external institutional funding for nearly eight years. The latest investment marks its first major institutional funding round.
The company plans to deploy the fresh capital towards AI-led healthcare capabilities, research and development, manufacturing expansion and strategic partnerships with healthcare providers.
It will also use the funding to strengthen its international presence, with the UAE emerging as its proposed global expansion hub.
What Does Clinics On Cloud Do?
Clinics On Cloud develops technology-enabled healthcare infrastructure designed to make preventive health screening accessible beyond traditional hospitals and diagnostic centres.
Its flagship product, the Health ATM, is a self-service healthcare kiosk that combines medical screening devices, software, AI-assisted health insights and telemedicine facilities.
The platform supports screening across more than 65 clinical parameters, depending on the configuration, and can provide a basic health check in approximately 10 minutes.
The company has also expanded beyond kiosks into portable Box Clinics, AI-enabled Health Lounges and Mobile Medical Units. These solutions allow hospitals, government bodies, corporates and healthcare providers to establish microclinics in workplaces, rural communities and other underserved locations.
3,500+ Deployments and 12 Million Health Screenings
Clinics On Cloud claims to have completed more than 3,500 installations across over 200 cities and eight countries, with more than 12 million patient screenings conducted through its network.
Its deployments include government healthcare programmes, corporate facilities and defence establishments. The company lists the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Border Security Force among its customers and institutional partners.
The startup's business model focuses on providing healthcare infrastructure to organisations rather than operating solely as a D2C healthcare platform.
This gives it an opportunity to serve multiple settings, including government health initiatives, corporate wellness programmes, hospitals and community healthcare projects.
Model42 Backs Clinics On Cloud's Global Ambitions
The Series A investment comes from Model42, which brings together healthcare expertise and investment capabilities through its association with Enlightened Minds Investments.
The platform was co-founded by Timur Kudratov, Dr. Aida Sheikhaliyeva and Dr. Raees Tonse.
Clinics On Cloud plans to use the UAE as its starting point for international expansion, while exploring opportunities in Africa, the United States and Southeast Asia.
The investment will also support manufacturing capacity and the development of AI-enabled healthcare products.
Why This Funding Matters for India's HealthTech Sector
Clinics On Cloud's fundraising highlights an emerging opportunity in healthcare technology: building physical infrastructure that connects preventive screening, digital health records and remote medical consultations.
While much of India's healthtech investment has focused on digital platforms, telemedicine and hospital technology, connected microclinics offer another approach to extending healthcare access.
For founders and investors, the company's journey is particularly interesting because it scaled its deployment network before raising institutional capital.
Its next challenge will be to replicate that model across international markets, where healthcare regulations, medical-device approvals, local partnerships and operating requirements differ considerably.
