Eyewear retailer Lenskart Solutions reported a 124.7% YoY increase in consolidated net profit to ₹232.5 crore in Q2 FY27, as revenue growth across its domestic and international businesses supported its September quarter performance.
The Peyush Bansal-led company’s revenue from operations rose 35.7% to ₹2,845 crore from ₹2,096.1 crore in Q2 FY26, according to its regulatory filings dated November 4, 2026.
The company’s profit after tax stood at ₹103.5 crore in the year-ago quarter. On a sequential basis, net profit increased 1.8% from ₹228.4 crore in Q1 FY27, while revenue grew 4.8% from ₹2,714.2 crore.
Including other income of ₹54.5 crore, Lenskart’s total income reached ₹2,899.5 crore during the quarter, compared with ₹2,129.4 crore a year earlier.
India And International Businesses Drive Revenue Growth
Lenskart recorded growth across both its major geographical markets, with international revenue increasing slightly faster than its India business.
Revenue from the India segment rose 35.5% YoY to ₹1,667.9 crore from ₹1,230.6 crore. The segment’s reported results increased to ₹208.4 crore from ₹126.1 crore.
International revenue grew 36.5% to ₹1,201.1 crore from ₹879.6 crore. The international segment’s reported results more than tripled to ₹97.2 crore from ₹31.1 crore.
The figures indicate that Lenskart’s expansion is not dependent on its domestic market alone. Its international business is contributing to revenue growth while also improving its segment-level performance.
Expenses Rise 31% As Profitability Improves
Lenskart’s total expenses increased 31.1% to ₹2,596.8 crore in Q2 FY27 from ₹1,980.3 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Cost of materials remained a major expense, rising 31% YoY to ₹854 crore. Employee benefit expenses increased 25% to ₹627 crore from ₹503 crore.
Despite higher operating costs, revenue growth outpaced the increase in total expenses, helping the company expand its net profit.
The company also reported EBITDA of ₹622 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 21.86%, as per the reported quarterly figures.
Peyush Bansal’s Lenskart Continues Its Omnichannel Expansion
Founded in 2008 as Valyoo Technologies, Lenskart was incorporated by Peyush Bansal, Neha Bansal, Amit Chaudhary and Sumeet Kapahi. It began operations as an online eyewear business in India in 2010 before expanding into physical retail.
The company has since developed an omnichannel business spanning online sales, physical stores and technology-enabled eyewear services. Its international presence includes markets across Southeast Asia, Japan and the Middle East.
The latest results highlight two important aspects of its business performance: sustained growth in India and a rising contribution from international operations. The improvement in segment results also suggests that the company is translating a larger revenue base into stronger operating performance.
For investors, the next metrics to watch will include the pace of international expansion, expense growth and the company's ability to sustain margins as it scales.
