Digital lending platform Kissht doubled its net profit in the September quarter as strong loan growth and higher revenue lifted its financial performance. Its listed parent, OnEMI Technology Solutions Ltd, reported consolidated net profit of Rs 125.1 crore for Q2 FY27, up from Rs 62.4 crore a year earlier.

Revenue from operations rose 44.7% YoY to rs 731.8 crore from Rs 505.7 crore. Profit also increased 31.6% sequentially from Rs 95.1 crore in Q1 FY27, while revenue grew 9.3% from Rs 669.5 crore.

The results highlight the growth strategy of Ranvir Singh, Kissht’s founder and CEO, as the company expands its lending business while seeking to maintain credit quality and improve returns.

Kissht’s assets under management (AUM) increased 68.4% YoY to ₹9,317 crore at the end of September, compared with ₹5,533 crore a year earlier. The portfolio expanded by around ₹1,316 crore during the quarter, representing 16.4% growth over June.

Disbursements climbed 56% to ₹4,612 crore from ₹2,963 crore in Q2 FY26. The company’s cumulative customer base served reached 12.8 million, up around 22.5% YoY.

Unsecured personal loans continued to dominate the portfolio, accounting for approximately 92% of AUM. At the same time, Kissht is increasing its exposure to secured lending. Loans against property represented 7.9% of AUM at the end of September, compared with 4.1% a year earlier.

Kissht reported an annualised return on average AUM of 5.78% and return on average equity of 21.65%. Gross non-performing assets stood at 2.18%, according to the company’s reported figures.

Impairment charges, including provisions for expected credit losses, increased 8.7% to ₹133.1 crore, significantly slower than the growth in AUM. Total expenses rose 34.9% to approximately ₹586 crore.

The company’s net worth increased to ₹2,377 crore, supported by retained earnings and capital raised through its May 2026 IPO. Capital adequacy stood at 34.8%, while the debt-to-equity ratio was 0.94 times. Acuité Ratings also upgraded the company to A/Stable, according to the supplied results update.

While the figures indicate stronger earnings and capitalisation, sustaining asset quality will remain important as the loan book grows. The large share of unsecured lending makes underwriting standards and collection performance particularly relevant to future results.

After the quarter ended, OnEMI completed the allotment of shares under a preferential issue worth approximately ₹832.2 crore to 34 investors. Participants included Axis Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, Groww Mutual Fund and Bandhan Mutual Fund, among others.

The company’s board also approved an investment of approximately ₹624.1 crore in its wholly owned NBFC subsidiary, Si Creva Capital Services, through a rights issue. The capital is intended to support the subsidiary’s lending requirements and future expansion.

The fundraise follows OnEMI’s IPO in May 2026 and strengthens the capital available to support Kissht’s growing loan portfolio.

Kissht has raised its FY27 AUM growth guidance to more than 60%, from its earlier target of over 40%. It expects credit costs to decline by more than 15% YoY, gross NPA to remain below 2.25% and return on equity to exceed 20%.

For Ranvir Singh, the next phase will involve translating rapid lending growth into consistent returns without allowing credit costs to rise sharply. The growing share of secured loans could help diversify the portfolio, although unsecured lending remains the core business.

Kissht’s Q2 performance puts it on a stronger growth trajectory, but the key measure over the coming quarters will be whether it can sustain profitability and asset quality as its loan book moves towards the next stage of expansion.
