Info Edge, the parent company of Naukri.com, reported an 87% YoY increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 649.8 Cr in Q2 FY27, while operating revenue grew 12.2% to Rs 903.9 Cr. Higher other income and steady growth across recruitment and real estate supported the September quarter performance.

Other income climbed 164.8% to ₹428.4 crore from ₹161.8 crore a year earlier, taking total income to ₹1,332.3 crore. Consolidated expenses rose a relatively modest 4.5% to ₹588.6 crore.

The results come as founder Sanjeev Bikhchandani prepares to take on a larger leadership role at the company from December 3, succeeding Hitesh Oberoi as executive vice chairman, managing director and group CEO, subject to shareholder approval.

  • Naukri Leads Recruitment Growth, AI Products Expand

Info Edge’s recruitment Brand, which includes Naukri, recorded standalone revenue of ₹632.3 crore, up 13.3% YoY. Segment profit before tax increased 19.9% to ₹373.7 crore, while recruitment billings rose 12.6% to ₹613.8 crore.

AI and data products for recruiters and job seekers are becoming an additional revenue stream. Based on Q2 performance, these offerings reached an annualised revenue run rate of around ₹240 crore, according to the company’s reported figures.

Real estate platform 99acres increased revenue 16.7% to Rs 134.3 crore. Its segment loss before tax narrowed sharply to ₹1.6 crore from ₹23.4 crore in the year-ago quarter. Billings rose 21.2% to ₹148.3 crore, supported by growth in broker, rental, new-project and owner listings.

In matchmaking, Jeevansathi’s revenue grew 16.5% to ₹39.5 crore, while Aisle’s revenue rose 35.1% to around ₹13 crore. Combined billings for the two platforms increased 23.1%.

Education platform Shiksha was a weaker spot, with revenue declining 8.5% to ₹35.5 crore.

The board declared an interim dividend of Rs 3 per share for FY27, with November 6, 2026, set as the record date. Payment is scheduled on or after November 23.

Info Edge also approved the sale of its entire stakes in MedCords and Unnati Online for about Rs 5,000 each, as the investments had previously been fully impaired. It further approved an investment of up to Rs 150 crore in wholly owned subsidiary Redstart Labs over the next 18 months.

The quarter highlights two sides of Info Edge’s business: Naukri remains its main growth engine, while 99acres is moving closer to profitability. The increase in other income also played a major role in consolidated profit growth, making it important to assess earnings alongside revenue and operating performance.

With Sanjeev Bikhchandani set to return to a more direct executive leadership role, investors will be watching how Info Edge sustains recruitment growth, develops AI-led products and improves profitability across its wider portfolio.
