About the Founder

Most startup founders begin their entrepreneurial journey after college or years of corporate experience. Jaiwardhan Tyagi chose a different path. While studying in Class 9 in Ghaziabad, he immersed himself in coding, artificial intelligence, robotics, and mathematics, teaching himself through online resources and constant experimentation. Instead of spending his free time on social media or gaming, he focused on building technology that could solve real-world problems. Influenced by his father, a mathematics professor, and inspired by philosophy and science, Jaiwardhan developed an uncommon mindset for someone his age, one that prioritised learning, innovation, and impact over recognition.

About the Company

Neurapex AI is an AI-powered healthcare platform created to make medical diagnosis more structured, understandable, and accessible. The platform analyses MRI scans, skin images, X-rays, lab reports, and other diagnostic data to generate clinically structured insights that can support both patients and healthcare professionals. Rather than replacing doctors, Neurapex is designed to assist clinicians with organised medical reasoning while helping patients better understand their health conditions. Its long-term vision is to become the first layer of healthcare intelligence, reducing dependence on random internet searches and enabling faster, more informed medical decisions.

The Beginning of an Extraordinary Journey

The story of Neurapex did not begin with a business plan or a startup competition. It started with a simple technical challenge. Jaiwardhan wanted to build an AI model capable of detecting Alzheimer's disease through MRI scans. His first attempt failed because the model's accuracy was far from reliable. Instead of accepting failure, he began studying why existing medical AI systems often struggled to explain their decisions. That curiosity gradually evolved into a much bigger mission, to create an AI platform that not only detects abnormalities but also explains them through structured medical reasoning. What started as a personal learning project soon transformed into a healthcare startup with national attention.

Building Before Building a Startup

Long before Neurapex was born, Jaiwardhan had already developed several innovative projects that reflected his passion for solving practical problems. He built an AI-powered security camera capable of identifying weapons, fire, vehicles, and people using an affordable ESP32-CAM module. He also created an NSFW blocker for schools to prevent students from accessing inappropriate online content after laptops were introduced into classrooms. Driven by his interest in finance, he even developed an AI-based financial assistant capable of answering company-related questions. These early experiments gave him confidence, strengthened his technical skills, and ultimately prepared him for building a much larger healthcare solution.

Turning Curiosity into a Healthcare Mission

As Jaiwardhan explored artificial intelligence more deeply, he realised that healthcare represented one of the biggest opportunities for meaningful innovation. Millions of people depend on internet searches or unverified advice before consulting doctors, while healthcare professionals often face increasing workloads and limited resources. Recognising this gap, he envisioned an AI platform that could bridge the distance between patients and specialists by providing structured medical insights. Rather than focusing solely on technology, Neurapex was built with the objective of making healthcare information easier to understand while supporting doctors with better-organised diagnostic assistance.

Building a Brand with Limited Resources

Creating an advanced AI platform requires powerful computing infrastructure, something that is usually beyond the reach of most school students. Without access to expensive servers, Jaiwardhan relied on rented cloud GPU services to train his AI models and used affordable cloud platforms to deploy the application. Every month, maintaining the platform required financial support from his parents while he continued balancing school with development. Despite limited resources, he remained committed to improving the product, proving that determination and resourcefulness often matter more than large investments during the early stages of entrepreneurship.

The Shark Tank Breakthrough

Months of relentless experimentation eventually led Jaiwardhan to one of India's biggest entrepreneurial platforms, Shark Tank India. Before appearing on the show, he significantly improved Neurapex by training the platform on more than 1.5 lakh medical images, making the system considerably more capable than its earliest versions. His technical clarity, confidence, and long-term vision impressed the investors, resulting in boAt co-founder Aman Gupta investing ₹60 lakh in exchange for 5% equity. More than the funding itself, the appearance introduced Neurapex to millions of people across India and validated the idea that impactful innovation can emerge at any age.

Challenges Behind the Success

Although the Shark Tank investment brought recognition, Jaiwardhan's journey remained far from easy. Managing school alongside building an AI startup often meant working late into the night, leaving him physically exhausted. There were occasions when fatigue forced him to leave school before classes ended. His parents frequently worried about his health, reminding him that success should never come at the cost of well-being. At the same time, he experienced a deeply personal loss shortly after his television appearance, an event that further strengthened his determination to build technology capable of improving healthcare outcomes for others.

Growing Without Spending on Marketing

Unlike many technology startups that invest heavily in advertising, Neurapex has grown almost entirely through organic interest. Following Jaiwardhan's appearance on Shark Tank India, the platform witnessed thousands of website visits, user registrations, and demo requests without any dedicated marketing campaigns. The early traction demonstrated that genuine innovation often generates its own momentum when it addresses a meaningful problem. For Jaiwardhan, gathering user feedback and continuously improving the platform remains a higher priority than generating immediate revenue.

The Vision for the Future

Jaiwardhan believes Neurapex is still at the beginning of its journey. His future plans include expanding beyond dermatology into neurology, MRI interpretation, spine imaging, and other specialised diagnostic applications. He also aims to collaborate with hospitals, diagnostic centres, and healthcare institutions to integrate AI-powered reporting into clinical workflows. A major focus will be improving explainable AI so that every medical recommendation is transparent and easy for both doctors and patients to understand. His vision is not to replace healthcare professionals but to empower them with faster, smarter, and more reliable decision-support tools.

A Story That Inspires a Generation

Jaiwardhan Tyagi's journey proves that entrepreneurship is driven by curiosity rather than age. While most teenagers focus on exams and extracurricular activities, he chose to solve one of healthcare's biggest challenges through artificial intelligence. His story reminds us that every successful company begins with a question, every innovation begins with experimentation, and every breakthrough begins with someone willing to persist despite repeated failures. Neurapex is more than a startup, it represents the belief that young minds, when given the freedom to learn and build, can create solutions capable of changing industries and improving millions of lives.
