According to the company's financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, revenue from operations stood at Rs 270.2 crore in Q2 FY26. On a sequential basis, revenue grew 5.1% from Rs 281.5 crore in Q1 FY27, while net profit increased 55.4% from Rs 7.6 crore.
The Gurugram-based company's total income, including other income, rose 8.4% to Rs 302.8 crore during the quarter.
MobiKwik's EBITDA Turns Positive at Rs 22.7 Cr
MobiKwik's operating performance also improved significantly during the September quarter.
The company reported its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA of Rs 22.7 crore, compared with an EBITDA loss of ₹6.4 crore in Q2 FY26. This represents a YoY improvement of Rs 29.1 crore.
Contribution profit, another key measure of operating performance, increased 50% to ₹143.9 crore from ₹96.1 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The improvement came despite higher employee-related expenses. Employee benefit costs increased 59% YoY to ₹56.2 crore.
At the same time, payment processing charges, the company's largest expense, declined 10.8% to ₹119.5 crore from ₹133.9 crore. Lending operational expenses also fell 88.1% to ₹1.5 crore from ₹12.8 crore.
Overall, total expenses declined approximately 1.8% to ₹290.9 crore from ₹296.1 crore in Q2 FY26.
Payments GMV Hits ₹59,677 Cr, Lending Disbursals Grow 34%
MobiKwik's payments business continued to drive platform activity during the quarter.
The company's platform gross merchandise value (GMV) reached an all-time quarterly high of ₹59,677 crore in Q2 FY27, representing a 35% increase from Rs 44,114 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Consumer payments GMV increased 27% YoY to Rs 46,375 crore, compared with Rs 36,568 crore in Q2 FY26.
Its lending business also recorded growth. Lending disbursals increased 34% to Rs 1,082.6 crore from ₹807.1 crore in the year-ago period.
The company attributed its performance to higher payments activity, growth in lending disbursals and improving margins across its payments and financial services businesses.
What MobiKwik's Q2 Performance Indicates
MobiKwik's September-quarter results point to an important shift in its financial performance. While revenue grew at a relatively moderate pace of 9.4%, its 35% GMV growth and 50% increase in contribution profit indicate improving monetisation and cost efficiency.
The decline in payment processing charges is particularly relevant for a payments-led fintech business, where transaction-related expenses can put pressure on margins.
However, rising employee costs and financial guarantee expenses remain important areas to watch. Sustaining profitability while growing transaction volumes and lending disbursals will be central to MobiKwik's next phase of growth.
For India's fintech sector, the results offer an example of how improving unit economics and operating discipline can become as important as expanding transaction volumes.
